The
MAM Fine Crafts Collective is proud to have presented en
feu* emerging canadian
artists in contemporary fine crafts, an exhibition
held December 7 to 22, 2007 at the 52nd annual Salon
des métiers d’art du Québec,
in the exhibition halls at Place Bonaventure.
en
feu* brought together one-of-a-kind artworks by 16
of the most promising emerging fine crafts artists from across Canada
- in contemporary ceramics, fibre arts, textile construction, jewellery
design, and glass - each artist having a maximum of 5 years experience
as a professional artisan.
The
exhibition (whose title means “on fire”) marked
Craft
Year 2007,
as well as the 5th anniversary of the MAM Fine Craft Collective, a dynamic
Montreal-based collective of emerging fine crafts artists in Québec.
