artists in contemporary fine crafts, a juried exhibition
open to emerging Canadian fine crafts artists with a maximum of 5 years
experience as professional artisans.

canadian artists in contemporary fine crafts,
which will be held December 7 to 22, 2007 at the 52nd annual Salon
des métiers d’art du Québec,
will bring together audacious one of a kind artworks
by some of the most promising emerging fine crafts artists from across
Canada, showing the best and most innovative in contemporary Canadian
ceramics, fibre arts, leatherwork, textile construction, jewellery,
woodworking, and glass.
The
exhibition (whose title means “on fire”) marks
Craft
Year 2007,
as well as the 5th anniversary of the MAM Fine Craft Collective, a dynamic
Montreal-based collective of emerging fine crafts artists in Québec.
We
are looking for bold and innovative one of a kind work in all fine crafts
media. We want to show the excellence and technical know-how of Canada's
emerging fine crafts artists. Deadline
